I’ve been bit by the University of Florida bug.
It has barely been two days, yet I feel like I’ve been here a lifetime. Right now I’m laying on my newspaper printed duvet cover – are you at all surprised? – soaking in the freedom and academia.
Being here and excitedly setting up my room reminds me of Cherubs. It’s crazy to think it’s almost been a full year since I walked through Northwestern’s campus and had the best summer of my life. Well, maybe up until now. It’s a close tie: Cherubs centered around journalism, which is where I met close friends who share my passion, but there’s just something about being a college student. This summer is the start to the rest of my life. Scary, right?
Anyway, things are absolutely amazing. I’ve already made great friends and love my room mate. She’s fun, bubbly and so much fun to be around. And we have the cutest room around. Check out my side!
It’s small, simple and all around perfect. Time to go, ice cream social and then a night out on campus. There’s much to look forward to, so stay tuned!
